What do I have to consider when carrying my baby?

  1. Before you take your child to the... Baby Carrier the bar on the hip belt must be adjusted. The best way to do this is to place your baby on it Baby Carrier, for example on a changing table or the couch. Then you adjust the bridge using the Velcro so that the edges go from the back of the knee to the back of your baby's knee when crouched down. This is the only way to ensure the ergonomically correct squatting and spreading posture.
  2. Your baby must be facing you while being carried. Babies should never be carried facing away from the person carrying them!
  3. You should take your child like this Baby Carrier Make sure you can give him a light kiss on the head. This is called the head kiss height.
  4. Draw yours Baby Carrier so tight that your baby doesn't come away from your body when you bend forward. It should always be firmly on you.

Do you have another question? We'll answer them here!

In general, the following applies to all carriers:

Baby: from birth - 1.5 years
Toddler: from 1 year to around 2 years
Toddler XL: 2 - 3 years

It's important to get the right size! For example, if your baby is 6 months old, your baby's back muscles are not yet very developed and he or she would sink into the material.

At Flip For sizes Toddler and Toddler XL, there is the option of attaching the shoulder straps to the back. Here you can simply try out what is most comfortable for the wearer. This buckle should not be used on babies under one year old as it presses the baby's back into a pre-shaped S shape. For babies under one year of age, the back should be in the Baby Carrier however, always be rounded.

We always recommend this to beginners KOKADI Flip! Since it's super easy to put on, you don't need as much sensitivity as with other carrying models or with the Baby Wrap. The Flip has the fewest sources of error.

Even more experienced baby carriers can choose according to their preferences. A Baby Wrap for example, offers an extremely wide range of different binding methods. There are hardly any limits here. You can always try and experiment.

The Baby Carriers are perfect for on the go and on hotter days. Less fabric is perfect if you have a baby who sweats a lot or if you sweat easily yourself. The best thing to do is try it out!

Parents who want the perfect hybrid of both - Baby Wrap and Baby Carrier - search, drive with it WrapStar best! At WrapStar you can buckle at the bottom and tie at the top, like with the scarf. Just try it out!

Children should be in the Baby Carrier ALWAYS face the person wearing it. That means belly to belly.
If you carry your child facing forward, he or she has no way of escaping the stimuli of his or her environment. So it is forced to perceive far too many impressions. In addition, looking forward, the ergonomically correct squatting spread position cannot be guaranteed.
If this posture is not guaranteed, hip dysplasia can be promoted. In addition, testicular engorgement can occur in boys.

This is possible once your baby's head is securely checked.

Yes! Your baby must definitely sit in the squat-spread position!
It is the completely natural position that a baby assumes, for example, when you lay it on its back. It pulls the legs up so that the knees are above the belly button. The child's hips can develop best in this position.

By the way: If hips are misaligned in newborns, special spreader pants are used to bring the children's legs into this spread-squat position. Wearing can also be used prophylactically or even therapeutically.

Are you pregnant and still want to carry? Perfect!
We have ours for you KOKADI Onbu. It is a back carrier, without a hip belt. This means that nothing presses uncomfortably on your stomach. The Onbu Can be used for children from a late sitting age.

You're even very good at your twins KOKADI wear! The whole thing is called tandem carrying.
You carry one child in the front and one child in the back. However, you should avoid this carrying method shortly after birth to protect your pelvic floor.

All of our baby carriers are actually suitable for tandem carrying. The best thing to do is try it out here and see which combination is right for you. A combination of, for example, is popular Flip and TaiTai. You can also tandem carry on the side! This works, for example, with two RingSlings or by using one Baby Wrap Tie the hip sling on the left and right.

Also in the Facebook group: KOKADI Official Fanclub you will find many helpful tips and insights into the topic of carrying twins.

Basically one is suitable Baby Carrier without a lot of fabric, always for the summer. So, for example, ours KOKADI Flip and the TaiTai. Materials that are particularly thin and made from organic cotton, for example, are particularly suitable. Because cotton has an acclimatizing effect.
At Baby Wraps and RingSlings can be based on the weight per unit area. Fabrics with low FG also tend to be thinner.
If you sweat very quickly in summer or like to be out and about and exercise, ours is for you KOKADI Flip Performance Air exactly the right thing! The back part can be rolled up here and reveals a layer of mesh fabric. Mesh was also used in the shoulder straps. Mesh is particularly breathable and therefore super comfortable for baby and wearer in summer. Just convince yourself!

All ours Baby Carriers are suitable for winter! Here it is important to dress yourself and your child correctly!
Especially in winter it should not be worn over the jacket. Baby and wearer benefit from keeping each other warm under the jacket. We recommend a carrying jacket for this. You can dress your baby underneath as well as yourself. This also has the advantage that the baby does not have to be undressed when he or she is sleeping. So it can continue to sleep peacefully.
